　　To My Lilyan

　　When logic's cold equations ruled my day,

　　And wheels of industry became my art,

　　Your presence taught my measured heart to sway,

　　And planted roses in my steel-bound heart.

　　The rhythm of your laughter,pure and clear,

　　Could tune my soul more than a perfect strain;

　　Your patient eyes dissolved my every fear,

　　And turned my calculated losses gain.

　　No more I count the minutes as they flee,

　　Nor bind our bond with efficiency's chain;

　　For in your gaze,time finds its melody,

　　And life transcends its utilitarian reign.

　　So let the engines roar, the currents flow—

　　My greatest truth is what I learn from you.
