　　These Stone Age people lived in cellars and wore furs. Around 4000 BC, these people began to grow rice and raise sheep and chickens. Around 3000 BC, they began to use pottery and live in houses.

　　By 2000 BC, the Chinese had entered the Bronze Age and began to write. Around 700 BC, Chinese metalworkers learned to make iron tools and weapons.
