21、第 21 章

　　骂曾经的F天真。要求低。
　　But others, such as Mehmood Ali, were cynical; they were firmly convinced that Turton had been made to give the party by his official superiors
　　分析Ali，虽然愤怒，但是却总认为是英印人/X的控制Turton导致的。
　　其实F是骂自己曾经的心软吧。

　　再次选择时，M站在了F身边。1924年之后的M终于可以应付自如了。

　　Fielding/M邀请Adela/F，和Moore茶会。
　　"I'd like to come very much indeed and so would Mrs. Moore, I know."
　　"I'm rather a hermit隐士, you know."
　　"Much the best thing to be in this place."
　　"Owing to my work and so on, I don't get up much to the club."
　　我懂了，当年M决定与F相守时，就决定彻底低调地生活了。从而退出了众多的聚会群体，这样才能真正保护F和自己的爱。
　　嗯，M做的很好噢。
　　"I know, I know and we never get down下来 from it. I envy you being with Indians."
　　Adela和Moore表示对于俱乐部生活的讨厌和无法摆脱。羡慕1924年的MF，放下一切，得以相守。
　　Get down from the club是离开这种生活。译成极少走出去，走出哪里？接近，但有点不准确。
　　there was an old professor down at the College, who sang.
　　这在Fielding学校里唱歌的不会是天足里唱歌的M吧？

　　Adela问话"Oh, just what we wanted to hear. And do you know Doctor Aziz?"
　　Fielding答话"I know all about him. I don't know him. Would you like him asked too?"
　　这个all字调戏得也够明显了，F原来你还癖好调戏自己，昏。。。
　　后一句是说在书这里还没有正式认识吧。
　　"Mrs. Moore says he is so nice."
　　"Very well, Miss Quested. Will Thursday suit you?"
