23、第 23 章

　　Moore指出Adela/F不在乎。
　　"I know, that's so remarkable about her," he said thoughtfully. "I suppose nothing's on her mind," he continued.
　　F眼中Roony/M的指责。
　　"Ask her; ask her yourself, my dear boy."
　　Moore/F后来的预言点明是对的，M你不能所有的事情都自己一个人抗，F会受不了的，误会也就由此而生。

　　Roony说话"Probably she's heard tales of the heat酷热, but of course I should pack her off to the Hills every April I'm not one to keep a wife grillin折磨 in the Plains."
　　Moore说"Oh, it wouldn't be the weather."
　　果然热象征着性。
　　4月份送上山？额。。。F你在暗示什么？
　　怎么前一句是在嘲讽M为你的考量，下一句就又开始调戏M了呢？汗。。。
　　确实，1910当年的事情，其实与性的关系并不大。

　　"There's nothing in India but the weather, my dear mother; it's the Alpha and Omega 关键of the whole affair."
　　Roony/M不是哦，你们家F虽然不正经，但是性真的不是最关键的问题哦。
　　"Yes, as Mrs. McBryde was saying, but it's much more the Anglo-Indians themselves who are likely to get on Adela's nerves. She doesn't think they behave pleasantly to Indians, you see."
　　确实，真正导致F烦恼的是M的行为。M在众人面前的行为态度伤害了F。

　　"What did I tell you?" he exclaimed, losing his gentle manner. "I knew it last week. Oh, how like a woman to worry over a side-issue枝节问题!"
　　昏，M在这种时候居然会这么粗线条。拜托，你们家F是以爱为信仰的啊，你不也是因为这样而爱他的么？
　　She forgot about Adela in her surprise. "A side-issue, a side-issue?" she repeated. "How can it be that?"
　　Moore/F反驳得很好
　　"We're not out here for the purpose of behaving pleasantly!"
　　M的冷静显现出来了，但是M的脾气太坏了哦
　　"What do you mean?"
　　"What I say. We're out here to do justice and keep the peace.
　　M，不对的，这种妥协是做不到的。你不能再一次以不彻底性伤害自己，然后又去伤害F，这样下去，你们两个迟早都会很伤的。
　　但你可以好好沟通啊。所以，老年的Moore和哈米杜拉真的都看得很明白了。第一，M向F沟通坦白，第二，不要拖延做正确的事情。
　　从Maurice来看，M也很固执呢，最终也没告诉F，自己情伤5年，爱得如此深，却终生不肯相告。真是让人感叹。

　　"Your sentiments观点 are those of a god," she said quietly, but it was his manner rather than his sentiments that annoyed her.
